G35 Coilover Install
Brakes & Suspension - WANTED: Coilover install DIY for 350z/G35 - I've been searching for a DIY or some detailed install instructions on here and.
Hi Everyone, I just picked up a black 04 G35 about a month ago after selling my S2000, I wanted something more comfortable since I drive about 80-100 miles a day for work. Anyways, the G I bought had Tein Basic coilovers on the car which I must say im not very impressed with. Initially the car was extremely bouncy at highway speeds, so I looked at the suspension and realized it was not set up correctly. One side of the car was an inch lower than the other. I adjusted the coilovers to Tein's specs which helped but now the car is WAY too low for me.
I also hate the way it feels on the highway when I go over rough/uneven pavement. I have looked into going back to stock which im not particulary fond of but I know the ride quality will be a lot better. However I would like to the car to handle and feel as solid as my S did. After doing some research on some of the forums I have narrowed possible coilover possibilities to two brands either BC coilovers or ISC coilovers. I really do need the suspension to be adjustable so I can raise the car for the winter months when I put my snow tires on.
Also I don't want a big drop maybe only half and inch or so and I don't feel like buying any sort of camber kit. Gli Stagisti Download Ita Dvdrip Torrent. So I guess my question is should I just go back to stock or bite the bullet and spend $1,500 or so on a new coilover. I did find a shop that will do a straight up trade for my Tein basics for stock suspension but they will charge me $250 or so to install the stock suspension. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric. I've not heard of the ISCs but I had BC Racing coilovers on my 04 G coupe for over 3 years and I was very happy with them.
Unlike the Basics, they are fully adjustable for rebound and damping for a little more than the same price. You should be able to buy a nice used OEM suspension for less than $100 and you can sell your Basics for about $400. The shop that offered an even swap plus you paying the installation is not a good deal. Also, if you get an OEM suspension, make sure it's a sport coupe suspension because there are differences. You can get a 350Z susupension if you want a 1/2 inch drop.
